Women's sports group activities

Sisters in Action Sports purpose is to inspire, encourage and empower females through participation in action sports.

We do this by creating amazing affordable opportunities in the snow, wake & kiteboarding, surf, Mountain biking, rock climbing, hikes and skate events throughout the year. These opportunities draw hundreds of sisters of all ages and abilities to find their stoke in action sports.

SAS provides opportunities for progression and support to first-timers who are just looking for a welcoming inclusive female community. We’ve given clinics and community building events to network sisters to each other and the results are beyond our wildest dreams.

SAS offers scholarships and support to aspiring young athletes to achieve their goals.

These experiences bring change and life skills that last a lifetime. The number of “Sisters” that have found strength and support through SAS is staggering.

DONATIONS: “SAS” depends on the donations of individuals just like you. We are asking your support to bring opportunities for growth, community and strength to all sisters. By supporting “SAS” you are providing for the future of a SISTER.  We are a tax-exempt organization 501(c)(3) #81-5019739

VISION: Sisters in Action Sports is a strong, inclusive, female-focused community dedicated to opening doors of change.

“Participation in action sports has proven to increase self-esteem and empower sisters of all ages. This carries over to all areas of life, job, academics and positive leadership skills. We create safe, welcoming communities where sisters can challenge themselves with the support of other sisters.”

Pam Miller

CEO and President

Pam founded Sisters in Action Sports (SAS) after 9 years of Directorship of the Snow Division for GRO. Her passion for the organic flow for the ladies in action sports led her to see the “Sisterhood” as something bigger and ground uncharted. In 2016 SAS was formed. Pam’s vision for progression, community and growth for all females is non-stopping. She found her own strength as a single parent and recovery from cancer in the life lessons she gained from what she calls LIFE SPORTS. The lessons of knowing how to fall and get up again, face fears, celebrate success and have a good laugh while doing it all have got her through. It’s this strength and a big smile that she brings to the sisterhood.

Jenn Zimmerman

Vice President

Jennifer Zimmerman is our SAS secret service hero, working her magic behind the scenes to make the events and opportunities flow smoothly and get hundreds of ladies registered and in the know. She joined our staff as soon as she found out about our mission for ladies years ago. She’s a force we couldn’t do without on the board. You’ll see Jenn busy at events keeping registration table going smoothly and always with a big smile! When she’s not taking care of business you can find her, Hubby Tim and daughter Liesl playing in the snow or riding bikes!

Cressey Rice is our super smart action hero! She’s settled here in the PNW with her man and tough little girl. She’s building her tax service with a skate bowl right outside her doors. She brings her passion for building a community of strong ladies as well as her expertise in non-profit and tax to “SAS” Sisters in Action Sports. When she’s not crunching numbers, she’s shredding concrete or scaling a rock face.

Marilyn Conyers

Secretary

Marilyn’s love of action sports began a little later in life when she was in her mid 30’s. She watched all of the awesome events of SAS via social media and gathered the courage to attend “Ladies Day” at Stevens Pass in 2012. The ladies of SAS lent their gear and in no time at all, she was hooked! The foundation and mission of SAS became near to her heart and she knew she had to get involved and encourage other women of all ages to get out and ride no matter their ability level. The confidence SAS has given her has spread throughout all areas of her life and is now flowing into the life of her young daughter.

Megan Koski

Central Washington Director

Born and raised in the beautiful PNW, Megan Koski is our Central WA Ambassador with a huge passion for creating opportunities and connecting females through action sports. Megan has been snowboarding for over 20 years and has rode regionally for Rome, Lib-Tech, and Burton. While riding for Rome, Megan teamed up with Pam Miller to put on the first ever “Ladies Day” at Stevens Pass. The positivity, connections, and learning curve that day was unreal. In recent years, Megan has shifted focus from competing to helping females connect, learn, and be empowered through any action sport. “The confidence and life skills you learn from action sports transcends across your entire life. It is a lifestyle that is so positive, challenging, and rewarding. And, for many, a positive outlet.” – Megan

Kyrie also heads up web content and sponsorships. When she isn’t planning and executing events in Idaho you can find her outdoors with her sassy two year old. She began her love for action sports when she was very young starting with snowboarding then progressed to longboarding, wakeboarding, and biking. She, along with Sisters in Action Sports (SAS), plans to roll out events in new areas to encourage women of all ages to step outside their comfort zones and support one another! Kyrie believes you should spread confidence and empower others wherever you ride!

Priscilla Stultz has been a dynamo with SAS since the beginning. Taking a role as the Mentorship and Wake Director fits her passion to bring progression and opportunities to females of all ages. She’s a master when it comes to coaching both wakeboarding and snowboarding and her love for them shines in all she does. She’s been a driving force in the creation of some of our snow programming these past few years.
Priscilla has been a sponsored wake/snowboarder for 7 years for Northwest Riders, Arbor and Hyperlite. You may have seen her in the promotional video for this year’s Seattle Boat Show as an impressively talented wakeboarder. Jennifer Dobrowski

Maui Ambassador

Our sister in paradise, Jenn started her Kiteboarding group 8 years ago. When she was a new kiter she would attend paid clinics that were expensive. She felt ignored because the events were catered to more experienced kiters. That’s when she decided to hold her own kiteboarding event. Anyone could attend. She wanted an environment that was welcoming to all. The events have grown and she is responsible for many women getting into kiting. Fly Girl Friday, as she calls the group, are amazing, progressing SISTERS!
